Learn What I Teach Clients for Free!

What makes me different as a trainer is my understanding and application of biomechanics to make exercise safer and more effective for your body. Very few exercises are actually bad for you. For the most part, people hurt themselves because they do good exercises in the wrong way. My specialty is Movement Education and teaching you the foundational principles of moving safely so that we can apply them to a host of different exercises. Instead of coaching you on individual exercises, I provide an education that is readily applied to all human movement, both inside and outside of the gym. It’s a more effective approach and empowers you to understand health beyond my in-person instruction.

As a young, energetic graduate student, I wanted to create a reference for clients they could use on their own. After all, I’m not going to be there for every squat, step-up, etc. that you do! Movement 101 started as a capstone project for my Masters program and evolved into an easily understood exercise manual. It summarizes the foundational concepts of safe and effective fitness in the most straightforward terms I could think of. Movement 101 covers the baseline concepts you need to know to enhance your physical capacity, prevent pain and improve your understanding of what “safe form” (i.e. proper biomechanics) actually is.

I encourage anyone that is interested in understanding proper exercise habits better to download Movement 101 for free and apply it to their program. After all, it is a summary of the exact coaching I give clients in our beginning months working together.

Starting with foundational topics and progressing to specific application, Movement 101 will teach you:

  • A Straightforward Understanding of How Your Joints Work

  • The Optimal Biomechanics of Your Shoulders, Hips, and Back

  • Sample Corrective Exercises to Regain Joint Function

  • An Outline of Functional Movement Patterns You Should Utilize in the Gym

  • Proper Form Shown in Sequenced Demonstrations of How to Perform Each Movement Pattern

  • Exercise Examples for Each Movement Pattern

  • Common Exercise Errors That Lead to Pain
